No one knows exactly how many pounds she dropped. Everyone keeps asking her how much weight did she lose but the country singer doesn’t know exactly.
We know that before her dress size was an 8, and now is in a size 6. Other magazines that have done articles about Miranda Lambert have estimated the transformation in the neighborhood of 20-45 pounds. Regardless of the exact change in the scale we think she looks stunning.
How did She Gain Weight?
Interviews with the star revealed that there was no specific event that led to her weight gain. Years of traveling and eating less than healthy caused the unwanted figure change.
She discussed her dislike of vegetables unless they are drenched in cheese or ranch dressing along with her love of Cheetos and Vodka. Add it all together and it was a recipe to go up a dress size or two.
Why Did She Decide to Change?
The desire to become more fit and trim came when Miranda saw a couple of less than flattering photos published in the media. She wasn’t aware of how much she had gained until this. She said her hubby Blake Shelton loved her just the way she was so the change was really just for her.

Staying true to her Texas roots she shed the fat the old fashion way by making smarter decisions and working hard.
Lambert discussed her trial of some fad diets. They do work but she lost interest in them. She also came to the realization that she needed a life change and not a short term fix.
The result is opting for fruit over fries and chicken breast and sweet potato salad over fried chicken. She still loves her Cheetos and Vodka but these days she eats a handful of nuts instead.
She still doesn’t like vegetables but a green vege drink fro breakfast helps her get the vitamins and nutrients she needs. Not to mention she avoids unhealthy breakfast sandwiches in the process.
How to Exercise When You Hate Exercise
Lambert made no secret of the fact that she dislikes exercise. To cope with this she works with her trainer Bill Crutchfield who has her change up her exercise routine. He has her do a run then walk routine where she will run for one song and then walk for the next.
This is much easier then just running. Her secret to stay motivated is to listen to other singers with figures she admires. Hearing them she knows she has to work harder to look like that.
Mix in some jumping jacks, horseback riding, and walking with her beau Blake Shelton and she says she often realizes she is exercising by accident.
Did She have Surgery?
There were rumors going around that Miranda had surgery to lose weight. She wrote an open letter to her fans that you will find here on her website dispelling this myth. There were no doctors involved just sensible food choices, exercise, and the will to make it happen.
